Job Description:
We are a startup home care company dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to clients in their homes. As a Home Health Personal Care Assistant (PCA) you will play a vital role in assisting clients with their daily needs while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers the opportunity to grow with our company as we expand our client base and services.
Please note: Since we are a new company, all employees will undergo a paid training process before receiving client assignments. However, hours may not be immediately available until clients are admitted. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we build our team and clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide mobility assistance, including transfers, walking support, and repositioning
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean environment
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition to the supervising nurse or care coordinator
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Follow individualized care plans and document tasks performed during visits
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Requirements:
- Previous home health or caregiving experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and dedicated to patient care
- Eligible for Medicaid provider participation (no felony convictions or disqualifying offenses; must pass state and national background checks).
