Job Description

Job Summary-

As a Senior Principal Program Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of one or multiple programs in aerospace, defense and space sectors, with an emphasis on new development efforts and/or production programs. This role requires a broad understanding of all aspects of a program, from ideation to production as well as in-service support. Customer-facing, you will have great business acumen, making judicious decisions to achieve customer satisfaction while successfully executing your programs on time, on schedule, and on budget. In this role you will lead highly diverse cross functional teams composed of contracts, program planning, finance, operations, and engineering, to develop next-generation high-performance embedded processing solutions. You will be a part of a world-class team in our Mixed Signal Line of Business, a leading provider of dense, rugged, secure FPGA Processing solutions for next generation aerospace and defense applications. You will support programs across our Mixed Signal Line of Business, where we design, develop, and produce direct RF and Analog Sensor Processing Products and Space Processing Solutions. We are an agile team focused on delivering innovative, high-quality products to our customers on time and on budget.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans for the execution of customer and internal programs, including schedules and estimates.
  • Execute programs to scope, schedule, cost, and quality over their full lifecycle, by internal processes and contractual obligations, for customers worldwide.
  • Identify and manage scope changes through their approval and execution.
  • Ensure on-time deliverables (documentation and products).
  • Perform risk and opportunities management, including definition and execution of action plans for risk mitigation to prevent adverse effects, and escalate issues promptly.
  • Provide details of resources required for successful execution of programs.
  • Respond to related request for proposals (RFPs), coordinate and develop proposals and related documentation, including schedules, estimates, compliance matrices, programmatic volume, and bid review material.
  • Create statements of work (SOW) and perform sub-contract management, as required.
  • Present programs status to the leadership team, weekly and monthly, including reporting on programs' KPIs and critical path.
  • Point of contact for customers, develop and execute action plans for customers and organization satisfaction, including problem solving, obsolescence management, and in-service support.
  • Team with Operations, Engineering, and Business Development to ensure that all are informed and involved in decisions affecting their areas
  • Manage all customer expectations and communicates professionally.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • Typically requires 10 years of relevant Program/Project Management experience with a focus on development or production of aerospace. defense, & space hardware.
  • Experience with Government contracting practices, Earned Value Management (EVMS), and standard program reporting metrics.
  • Experienced leading technical projects for product development programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal and external.
  • Experience with program scheduling tools, such as MS Project.
  • Onsite/Hybrid in Huntsville, AL.
  • This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development and/or Production PM experience.
  • Experience working with U.S. Space Force, NASA, NRO, or commercial space customers.
  • Direct experience with space systems, space mission lifecycle, spacecraft subsystems, ground systems, or space-related technologies
  • Program Management certification (PMP).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with customers at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experienced with documentation and collaboration tools, such as Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing Programs in a multi-site matrix organization.
  • Experience with Military and Commercial Programs.
  • Experience with Contract Management, Sub-Contract Management.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and Export Regulations.
  • Prior external customer support/interface experience.

Pay Grade Range
Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position
* $115,700.00 - $208,300.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
* $129,600.00 - $233,300.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
* $136,500.00 - $245,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
