Position Overview:
As a Die Cast Set Up Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by setting up, adjusting, and maintaining die cast machinery to meet production and quality standards. This hands-on role ensures equipment is properly configured, operating safely, and running efficiently to support continuous production. You will be responsible for preparing machines for operation, troubleshooting issues, performing adjustments, and maintaining equipment while following standard operating procedures. Working closely with production and maintenance teams, you will contribute to a safe, organized, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:
- Set up and adjust die cast machines and associated equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and production requirements
- Review job specifications and complete required documentation to ensure accurate setup and production readiness
- Install and align dies, die carriers, slides, and related components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Connect and verify hydraulic, water, and electrical systems to ensure proper machine functionality
- Perform machine start-up procedures, monitor operation, and verify equipment is functioning correctly, including checking for leaks or defects
- Troubleshoot and adjust machinery, including changing components such as shot rods, dies, and spray systems
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to safely perform setup, adjustments, and maintenance activities
- Clean and maintain equipment by removing slag, debris, and buildup to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment to move tooling, carts, and machinery as needed
- Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives within the department
- Participate in team meetings and safety/stretching programs to promote a safe work environment
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with company safety standards

Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up, adjust, and troubleshoot industrial equipment
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and job specifications
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts, cranes, and hoists
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights or weekends as needed
The anticipated pay range for this position is $29.50 - $33.38 per hour.
