Job Overview
Mercier Valley Irrigation is looking for a dependable and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems for our customers. The right candidate should have strong mechanical and electrical skills, be comfortable working outdoors in farm fields, and be able to communicate professionally with customers. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and important to keeping farmers running during the irrigation season.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair center pivot irrigation systems
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hardware, and software issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal service work
- Travel to customer fields and job sites as needed
- Work directly with customers in a professional and respectful manner
- Inspect systems to make sure repairs and installations are completed correctly
- Use tools, service equipment, and diagnostic equipment safely
- Help keep service trucks, tools, and parts organized
- Communicate with the service team about job progress, parts needed, and customer concerns
- Ensure quality service and customer satisfaction on every job

- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
