As a Residential Loan Processor, you will assist Loan Officers/Originators in processing real estate loans, ensuring compliance with all Federal Regulations and internal policies. The Loan Processor will play a critical role in tracking and managing loan files, ensuring timely closures, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Loan Officers/Originators with the documentation required for processing real estate loans.
- Ensure all loans comply with Federal Regulations and company loan policies.
- Track and manage loan files in the mortgage and prestige loan pipeline, including secondary market loans.
- Assemble loan files and complete HMDA screens using the appropriate software.
- Order appraisals, title work, surveys, and obtain all necessary verifications.
- Request payoffs, verify insurance, and clear any outstanding closing conditions.
- Produce loan documentation and update borrower/loan information in the processing system as necessary.
- Coordinate loan closings with customers, loan officers, title agencies, and the loan closing department.
- Provide high-quality customer service and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure proper coverage and backup for processing and timely loan closings.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in loan processing or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of real estate loan processing and Federal Regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
