Position Summary
The Ornamental Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling ornamental fencing, gates, and related components in accordance with safety, quality, and production standards. This role offers growth opportunities through three skill levels: Entry-Level, Intermediate, and Advanced/Lead, based on demonstrated competencies in safety, blueprint reading, assembly processes, tool use, productivity, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble ornamental fencing and gate components following work instructions and blueprints.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Perform quality checks for fit, finish, and dimensional accuracy using gauges and calipers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficient workflow.
- Use and maintain hand and power tools; advanced levels will handle tool calibration and setup.
- Collaborate with team members and, at advanced levels, lead safety initiatives and mentor new hires.

Qualifications
- Entry-Level: Basic understanding of assembly processes and tool safety; ability to read simple diagrams.
- Intermediate: Proficient in assembly techniques, blueprint interpretation, and quality inspection tools.
- Advanced/Lead: Expertise in complex assemblies, leadership skills, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, bending, and repetitive motion for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
