POSITION SUMMARY:
We currently have openings in the operations department for the following positions: (Shifts hours are from 5 am -5 pm)
- Identify different wire sizes and arrange stands in accordance with the lineup.
- Use a crane to move wire stands into position
- Calibrate tangle switches
- Stop lines when needed using the payoff control panel.
- Butt weld wire
- Follow the process to change over wire stands when one has completed (Move payoff arm)
- Identify wire tangles - physically adjust the wire to prevent tangles
- Pull wire through the sand furnace and acid pickle
- Keep payoff in good housekeeping condition.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and working with equipment.
- Read work instructions and set up machines as required to run different product sizes.
- Stand or walk for the entire shift and use arms and back to perform the tasks associated with the role.
- Must be able to work overtime as required with Saturday availability.
Requirements
NECESSARY SKILLS, BACKGROUND & COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum one year of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must be able to work in a team-based, positive, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to understand written instructions and follow procedures.
- Must be able and willing to work 5 AM-5 PM MON-SAT. Employees average at least 40 hours a week, no more than 50.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
