Responsibilities
- Ensure inbound product is unloaded , assembled , and palleted properly, according to MDI standards
- Ensure outbound orders are assembled and loaded according to established MDI processes and customer s tandards
- Manage the dock supervisors, coordinators , yard spotters, and asset returns teams, as well as other relevant positions to ensure on time deliveries
- Assists in the coordination of general warehouse activities such as inventory control, storage, and damage .
- Provide s input in establishing warehouse procedures, layouts, equipment, and maintenance requirements and standards
- Direct s staffing moves or changes between departments in the absence of the Operations Manager in order to meet workload demands and maintain an efficient workflow
- Coordinate s forklift activities to ensure pr oper storage, as well as efficient freight movement to drive a high level of customer service in support of order fulfillment
- Coordinate s scheduling and unloading of all inbound freight, including backhaul and third party
- Coordinates dock organization plans with other shifts and team members
- Provides support for training and implementation of warehouse management technology
- Manages expenses with emphasis on damage, labor , and supply usage to meet or exceed budget
- Coordinate special projects as assigned by Operations Manager
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations , SQF, and company policies
Desirable Qualifications:
- The incumbent should possess the skills and knowledge generally associated with a bachelor's degree in business or related field and 3-5 years’ progressive warehouse management experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Works under the general direction of the Operations Manager and must make decisions independently to address immediate and pressing operational requirements
