Construction Analyst

Step into the exciting world of construction loan management as a Construction Analyst, GSE! You’ll be the backbone of our construction team by providing administrative support to our Construction Asset Manager (CAM) and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your role is crucial in maintaining compliance, meeting regulatory requirements, and driving overall portfolio performance. Plus, you’ll manage a portfolio of repairs, keeping things dynamic and interesting! 

Requirements

• Initial organization and review of monthly construction draws to ensure a full complete package is submitted for approval.
• Assist the CAM to prepare credit packages for Agency approval of waivers, property management changes, etc.
• Collection and spreading of property financials.
• Conduct and/or review property inspections once the proper MBA Inspection certifications are obtained.
• Process interest draws for related equity bridge loans.
• Initial organization and review of repair/replacement reserve disbursement requests.
• Timely updates of internal and external systems & reporting.
• Assist in preparation of the welcome package/funding guide and completion of the initial post-closing loan reviews.
• Tracking affordability/covenant requirements and following up on code violations and lawsuits as needed.

Expected Experience, Skills and Education

• An interest in construction, along with a basic understanding of loan portfolio management and multifamily mortgage banking is desired. 
• The ability to juggle tight deadlines and self-manage the appropriate prioritization of multiple tasks and projects. Requires problem-solving skills as well as the initiative to troubleshoot and find resolutions.
• Must demonstrate the ability to identify, interpret and apply applicable Merchants and Fannie/Freddie Mac guidelines in leading assigned processes. Must possess strong organization and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Requires proficiency in using basic computer software such as Microsoft Office, specifically regarding Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must demonstrate the ability to successfully manage the demands of multiple deadlines while working as a team player with consideration for customers, co-workers and vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
