Job Details
Floor Techs are responsible for Floor Maintenance, including but not limited to; vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery. The assigned work area could be inside a building, hospital, warehouse, shopping mall or other facility. Exact tasks of a Waxer are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties as assigned by a Supervisor as mentioned below.
Possess considerable knowledge of the operation, use, and care of Floor Scrubbers, Side by Side, Burnisher, Vacuum Chariot, Extractors and Pressure Washer.

Essential Functions
- Sitting, walking, standing, bending (neck), bending waist), squatting, climbing, keeling, crouching, stooping, twisting (neck), twisting (waist), and talk or hear.
- Repetitive use of hands to finger, arms (left and right) for:
- Simple grasping
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Fine manipulation
- Pushing
- Pulling
- Reaching (above and or below shoulder level with hands and arms)
- Keyboarding with both hands
- Lifting and Carrying object(s) from floor, table, and shelves over head or distance.
- Working around equipment and machinery
- Walking on uneven ground
- Exposure to noise
- Exposure to dust, gas, fumes, cleaning products and noise
- Working at heights
- Working with biohazards such us:
- Blood borne pathogens
- Sewage
- Hospital waste and others.
- Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
- Indoor/ out-door work environment with exposure to weather extremes.
