Job Skills / Requirements
The janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly environment. This includes routine cleaning, waste removal, and ensuring all assigned areas meet company and client standards.
General Cleaning Duties
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
Restroom Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and counters.
- Refill supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
- Empty trash and maintain odor control.
Trash & Waste Removal
- Collect and dispose of trash from all designated areas
- Replace liners in trash receptacles
- Handle recycling according to guidelines.
Breakroom / Common Areas
- Clean tables, countertops, and appliances (microwave, refrigerator, sink)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization..
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures and client guidelines.
- Use cleaning chemicals properly and safely.
- Report hazards, damages, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Reports to: Supervisor / Area Manager
- May be required to submit reports or photos of completed work.
Quality Standards
- Complete all assigned tasks per scope of work
- Maintain consistency and attention to detail
- Ensure all areas meet client expectations and inspection standards.
