We are a fast-paced diesel repair shop focused on quality work, honest service, and keeping our customers on the road. We work on a wide range of diesel trucks & equipment, including tractor trucks, trailers, RVs, motorcoaches, farm equipment, travel trailers, etc. and are looking to add a solid Diesel Technician to our team.
Position Overview
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel engines and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. You should be comfortable handling most repairs independently while continuing to develop advanced diagnostic skills. Responsibilities.
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and related systems with limited supervision
- Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, and aftertreatment systems
- Complete brake, suspension, and drivetrain repairs
- Conduct DOT inspections and preventative maitenance services
- Accurately document work performed and parts used
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, postsecondary training is preferred but not a must
- 1-3 years of diesel technician experience (or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with scan tools and diagnostic software
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Own tools required (shop will provide specialty tools)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record are a must (CDL is a plus)
- Ability to lift heavy objects (often 50 lbs) often, stand for long periods, work in tight spaces and in various weather conditions
