This role is ideal for a recent college grad who majored in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or one with a background in trucking or transportation dispatch who is looking to leverage their experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.

About This Role
Mercer Technical Services (MTS), a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Spring, TX (The Woodlands area).
This role is ideal for a recent college grad who majored in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or one with a background in trucking or transportation dispatch who is looking to leverage their experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.
- This posting is intended to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities as business needs arise**
- Coordinate logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with truck drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth execution of transportation plans.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to achieve optimal cost and efficiency.
- Generate and manage shipping documentation and coordinate all aspects of the shipping process.
- Track shipments from origin to destination, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any operational issues promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management with a focus in logistics, highly preferred
- 0-3 year’s experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field, with specific experience as a dispatcher, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships with carriers and customers.
- A proactive problem-solver with keen attention to detail.
