Department Summary

The Product/Tech PR team is responsible for promoting the Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach, and Mercedes-Benz Vans products, services, and events through the distribution of news releases for national and regional audiences and serves as media liaisons for all national and international press test drive events and world premieres.

Mercedes-Benz USA Product & Technology Communications Junior Associate Consultant Overview

The Product and Technology Communications Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) will have the chance to gain real-world knowledge and experience about the daily operations in Public Relations for a major US/global brand. We are looking for a dynamic individual able to work on their own initiative across a small PR team, assisting in the production and distribution of promotional materials supporting Mercedes-Benz products and technology.

• How a global luxury brand manages national product communications.
• How press test drives, vehicle launches, and world premieres are executed from planning to post event reporting.
• How to craft messaging, press materials, and media ready content.
• How media coverage is analyzed, measured, and translated into business insights.
• How a press fleet is managed across the U.S. to support media priorities.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Preparation and logistical support for domestic and international media events.
• Collection and analysis of media coverage.
• Content creation recapping Mercedes-Benz press test drives, vehicle launches and product activations to be distributed to all MBUSA colleagues and beyond.
• Creating and editing articles and texts for various channels, for example press releases.
• Assist with the ordering of press fleet vehicles and overall fleet inventory throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring efficient rotation to key regions based on media priorities and weather patterns and shipments across the United States.
• Assisting with the processing of press inquiries, creating Q&As, briefings, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
• Curating database efficiencies.
• Other tasks as assigned.
  
  

Qualifikationen

Preferred Skillset

Ideal candidates will:

• Be detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Have the ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• High sense of responsibility and be able to work independently.
• Have competency in Microsoft Suite products.
• Interest in automotive, technology, or luxury lifestyle industries.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital storytelling.
• Basic understanding of PR, journalism, marketing, or communications principles.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn.
  
  

Additional Info

• Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program or Master's student who has 12 months or more remaining on their graduate program, pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.
• Available from May 2026 to May 2027
• Hybrid in-person schedule, up to 28 hours maximum per week
• This position will be in-office 3-days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
• Proof of Proficiency (Portfolio, Recommendation Letters, etc.)
