Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land is seeking a detail oriented, customer service driven individual to join our team of Cashiers.
As a cashier, you will be responsible for processing payments for work completed or purchase of parts requests while ensuring customer satisfaction and verifying the accuracy of the invoice.

As a cashier, you will be responsible for processing payments for work completed or purchase of parts requests while ensuring customer satisfaction and verifying the accuracy of the invoice.
Duties
- Ensure all invoice totals and receipts are accurate
- Monitor the cash flow of Service and Parts Departments
- Total the retail parts, fluids and labor charges to calculate a total for each category
- Calculate the material charge applicable for each Repair Order
- Provide the customer with the proper charges
- Collect the total retail charges from customer
- Provide the proper change and receipts to the customer
- Calculate and enter applicable warranty charges
- Complete the accounting section of the Repair Order as directed
- Update the customer's service history file according to the procedures specified
- Maintain the effective labor rate control forms as directed by management
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers
- Answer customer's questions pertaining to the invoice with honesty and integrity
- Ensure that customer's complaints are handled promptly, with genuine concern and according to dealership guidelines
- Handle phone calls and assist customers
- Handle and account for daily cash in and out of the assigned register
- File Repair Orders as directed by the Service Department
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, employees or the customers
- Provide prompt, efficient and quality service to the customers and dealership
- Take the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction, even if it requires overcoming obstacles
- Present self as positive role model by demonstrating commitment to the department, customers, dealership and company
- Attend training classes as directed by management
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Two years of experience as a cashier
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time
- Ability to collaborate with other dealership personnel
- One-year accounting/bookkeeping/office management skills
- Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity
- Maintain a high level of professional personal appearance and conduct
- Ability to work 8 hour shifts between 7:30 am and 7:00 PM as assigned as well as two Saturday's a month.
