Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Automotive Technicians of all levels — Master, A-Technician, B-Technician, and Express Technician — to join our growing team. As a technician at Mercedes-Benz of Newton, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring our customers receive safe, reliable, and expertly serviced vehicles every time.
Key Responsibilities
Master & A Technicians:
- Perform advanced diagnostic and repair work on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Use factory diagnostic tools and resources to troubleshoot complex vehicle concerns.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to less-experienced technicians.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Complete detailed multi-point inspections and recommend needed services.
- Stay current with factory training and certifications.
B Technicians:
- Perform intermediate repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and more.
- Conduct accurate diagnostics on standard drivability and mechanical issues.
- Complete multi-point inspections and document findings.
- Assist with test drives to verify customer concerns and completed repairs.
Express Technicians:
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery tests, and vehicle inspections.
- Check and top off fluids, replace filters, and perform minor repairs.
- Ensure vehicles are clean and ready for customer delivery.
- Assist with tire mounting, balancing, and repairs.
Requirements
All Levels:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools, computers, and specialized equipment.
- Positive attitude, excellent teamwork and communication skills.
By Level:
- Master Technician: ASE Master Certification (or equivalent manufacturer master tech certification), 5 years advanced diagnostic and repair experience.
- A Technician: ASE certifications preferred, 3 years of automotive repair experience.
- B Technician: 1-3 years of automotive repair experience, willingness to advance certifications.
- Express Technician: Entry-level, some automotive experience or vocational training preferred.
