Purpose of the Position:
The Mercedes-Benz D.R.I.V.E. Academy (Diagnostic, Repair, Inspection for Vehicle Excellence) is a 12-month development program designed to prepare current MBUSI Team Members for future Repair Technician opportunities. Participants will complete six (6) months of instructor-led training followed by six (6) months of on-the-job training in a repair environment.
Participants in the D.R.I.V.E. Academy are expected to:
- Follow all MBUSI safety, quality, and workplace requirements.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance.
- Receive satisfactory performance evaluations.
- Successfully complete all required training, assessments, and program requirements.
Only participants who successfully complete all program requirements will be considered for available Repair Technician opportunities. Successful completion of the program does not guarantee placement as a Repair Technician. Placement opportunities will be based on business and manpower needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills must be met in order to qualify for position. Resume required.
- Be a current full-time MBUSI Team Member with a minimum of three (3) years of full-time service.
- Have satisfactory performance evaluations.
- Have no active disciplinary action (CPR).
Provide a resume that details the following: Team Members must meet at least one (1) of the following. Verification of qualifications may be required
- Minimum of two (2) years of automotive repair/service experience.
- Completion of military technical training and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant military maintenance or repair experience.
- Completion of a technical certificate, diploma, or associate degree in automotive technology or a related vehicle repair field.
- Completion of a registered or certified apprenticeship program in a skilled trade or repair-related field.
