PRN Cardiac Sonographer (RCS/RDCS)

Merced Heart Associates is seeking an experienced PRN Cardiac Sonographer to provide as-needed coverage in our growing outpatient cardiology practice.

This position is ideal for a sonographer looking for supplemental income, flexible scheduling, or occasional coverage opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality adult transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Obtain complete diagnostic images following ASE guidelines.
• Accurately perform measurements and preliminary documentation.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum of one year of independent echocardiography experience preferred.
• Ability to independently perform complete adult transthoracic echocardiograms.

Recent graduates who are registry-eligible are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are actively pursuing their RCS or RDCS credential and demonstrate strong clinical potential may be considered for a structured training opportunity.
