Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Deli Counter Manager to lead daily deli operations. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality, presentation, and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a commercial slicer safely and efficiently
- Slice and prepare deli meats and cheeses to order
- Provide exceptional customer service and product recommendations
- Organize, stock, and maintain deli case presentation
- Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory properly
- Process transactions using point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
- Assist with receiving and restocking inventory
- Take customer sandwich orders
Qualifications
- Experience working with a commercial slicer is required
- Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of Italian meats, cheeses, and specialty products is a strong plus
