Job Description for Manufacturing Engineer
Full time, exempt
Reports to Mechanical Engineer
Job Responsibilities for Manufacturing Engineer
· Ensure all production lines are properly maintained, set-up, and ready for daily production
· Troubleshoot new or existing problems involving design, materials or processes
· Determine root causes of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods
· Work collaboratively to identify and continuously improve production processes and procedures to optimize the cost, resources and productivity
· Review current preventative maintenance program and enhance to maximize reliability, availability, and continued operation
· Plan and coordinate working plans including daily workflow and assignments, preventive and predictive maintenance, shutdowns and large-scale projects
· Support of capital projects, including research and implementation of machine upgrades and improvements
· Maintain accurate and organized records of drawings, schematics and relevant maintenance records
· Manage multiple projects concurrently and independently
· Direct daily work plan for maintenance and set-up team
· Develop and implement training plans to ensure department employees work safely and efficiently
· Consistently promotes a healthy work environment and strong safety culture
Qualifications - Required Education, Knowledge & Skills
· Minimum 3 yrs engineering experience in manufacturing environment
· Proficient with CAD
· Strong background with PLCs, drives, and controls
· Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
· Possesses drive, enthusiasm, professional demeanor and excellent communication skills
· Proficient computer skills with ERP/MRP applications and MS office
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
· Strong troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements
