Position Overview – Beverage Manager (Lincoln Park)The Beverage Manager at Mercadito Lincoln Park is a creative, hands-on leader responsible for launching and overseeing all aspects of the bar program — from cocktail development and staff training to inventory and vendor relations.
This is a rare opportunity to serve as the opening bar manager for our newest location, building a high-impact beverage program from the ground up while shaping the bar's culture and identity.
Responsibilities-
Leadership & Training: Lead, train, and inspire the bar team to deliver exceptional cocktails and guest service.

Beverage Program Management: Create and update cocktail menus, maintain accurate recipes and costing, and ensure drinks align with Mercadito’s brand.

Inventory & Cost Control: Manage weekly beverage inventory, minimize waste and control pour costs, and monitor performance.

Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with liquor vendors; negotiate pricing and secure samples.

Events & Marketing: Partner with marketing on tastings, promotions, and beverage-driven events.

Guest Experience: Foster a vibrant, welcoming bar environment while engaging with guests.

Compliance & Safety: Uphold all liquor laws, safety protocols, and bar operational standards.

Minimum 1 year of bar/beverage management experience in a high-volume or upscale setting

Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer (especially tequila and mezcal)

Proven inventory and beverage cost control skills

Experience leading a bar team preferred

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 (based on experience)
