MEPPIs Switchgear Division (SWGD) is seeking a strategic and results-driven Operational Excellence Program Manager to lead division-wide initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, standardizing processes, and optimizing overall performance. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement efforts across production and warehousing operations while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact.
What Youll Do
Drive Operational Excellence Strategy: Partner with Division leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy that enhances consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across Switchgear production and warehousing facilities.
Identify & Execute Process Improvements: Conduct analysis and investigations to identify opportunities for improvement; develop and lead initiatives to streamline processes and improve performance.
Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives: Manage cross-functional project teamsincluding internal stakeholders and external consultantsfocused on operational readiness, workflow improvements, efficiency gains, and implementation of new systems.
Develop & Monitor KPIs: Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvement and operational initiatives.
Report Progress & Results: Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and presentations on the status and outcomes of improvement and change management initiatives.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement Culture: Lead continuous improvement teams to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and structured problem-solving across the Division.
Enhance Data Visibility: Partner with IT and Operations teams to develop structured data consolidation strategies that improve performance visibility and drive informed decision-making.
What You Bring
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience leading operational excellence or continuous improvement initiatives
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical & Methodology Expertise:
- Formal training and experience with Lean/JIT, 5S, KATA, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement programs
- Strong working knowledge of DMAIC, SIPOC, VOC, process mapping, and value stream mapping (VSM)
Skills & Attributes:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change
Technology Proficiency:
- Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products
- Experience with service management or process improvement software tools
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically up to 15% as required
