Locum Obstetrics Gynecologist

Role Overview: This position involves providing obstetric and gynecologic care, including surgical and office procedures, within a healthcare setting. The provider will handle approximately 1,600 deliveries annually, managing both low and high-risk cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical gynecology procedures such as amniocentesis, C-sections, VBAC, and forceps deliveries.
• Conduct office gynecology procedures including IUD insertions, colposcopy, LEEP, and cryosurgery.
• Manage patient care during assigned shifts, with an average of 10 patients per 24-hour call period.
• Participate in overnight and 24-hour shifts, providing continuous coverage.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in surgical gynecology, including open procedures.
• Proficiency in office gynecology techniques and procedures.
• Strong clinical skills in high- and low-risk obstetrics.
  
  

Key Duties: Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, perform surgical and office procedures, and manage patient cases across shifts. The role includes access to malpractice insurance, pre-paid travel and housing, and dedicated consultation support. Candidates must be capable of handling both surgical and office gynecology responsibilities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
