Full-Time Travel Stepdown RN

Role Overview: A Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring vigilant monitoring and complex interventions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments, assist during cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Observe, document patient responses, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies following protocols, and educate patients on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to safety and infection control standards.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred certifications: PCCN, NIHSS.
• Critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to move equipment, work effectively with teams, and handle a fast-paced environment.
