What are the responsibilities and job description for the Developmental Disabilities Case Manager (SSA) position at MEORC?
The SSA Specialist will be responsible for performing SSA duties while also taking on the crucial task of training and onboarding new SSAs.
- Provide Service and Support Administrator (SSA) functions as requested by customers.
- Responsible for following county board policies, procedures, and processes to implement SSA Services.
- Develop comprehensive training for new SSAs, covering essential job responsibilities, policies and best practices.
- Conduct engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually, to ensure new SSAs are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for success.
- Conduct assessments on behalf of county board of DD customers.
Education and/or Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree is require
- 3-5 years of experience in the Developmental Disabilities sector preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Must be able to obtain a Service and Support Administration certification as defined by the standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities rule 5123: 2-5-
- Must be able to obtain additional certifications set by Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities to provide SSA functions.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s license with vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
