Description
The Operations Agent is responsible for serving the needs of the individual airline and the associated requirements of their aircraft in accordance with individual airline and Menzies Aviation Ground Service’s policies and procedures.
Primary Accountabilities and Duties:
- Operation Agent will be working physically on the ramp, directing agents, checking cargo holds, ensuring ULD’s are place correctly, and have the soft touch to ancillary fees at the counter.
- Coordinate and assign gates for inbound and outbound aircraft.
- Required to perform Weight and Balance calculations for outbound flights
- Monitor air to ground radio for in-range calls, special requests from crews, maintenance requests, diversions, or any situation that pertain to the operation; communicate the information to customer service and ramp
- Monitor station radio to communicate between CS agents and Ramp Agents
- Provide accurate flight information to ground crew and flight crew
- Ensure paperwork is completed perfectly
- Complete necessary training for operations
- Maintain all required documentation and ensure its accurate and timely completion and distribution as the end of each day
- Any additional responsibilities by your direct supervisor/manager
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- One (1) year previous experience in an airline operations environment or dispatch-related environment preferred
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a High school diploma, GED.
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- Must have a current driver’s license with no violations.
- Must pass a drug test
- Competent in handling difficult situations.
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
- Flexible to work variable shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.
