Job Description: MentorKids USA is currently seeking a Leader for our K- 4th grade classroom who will be responsible for lesson planning, organizing, managing volunteers/interns, and teaching Bible lessons, social skills, and sport activities for up to 30 students in our Afterschool Program held in the Paiute Promise neighborhood. We are seeking an initiative-taking individual with previous experience who can manage and encourage positive student behavior, organize volunteer schedules, and is enthusiastic about working with youth, families, and the community. Our Afterschool Program focuses on spiritual growth, academic success, and leadership development. This position is part time, 2:30pm – 6:00pm, Monday through Thursday and occasional weekends for dedicated events with commensurate pay based upon professional experience.
Responsibilities:
• Create plans and deliver daily Bible Lesson, Social Skills, and Teamwork Activities to ensure student success and MKUSA core values.
• Provide Leadership and direction for Assistant Leaders
• Coordinate and manage weekly volunteer schedules
• Meet bi-weekly with K-8th team and Program Coordinator.
• Prepare monthly written reports on the program and student progress.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years' experience preferred (Current license/certification not needed).
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate a vibrant and growing Christian faith.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Must be a collaborator, an effective communicator, and demonstrate good organizational skills.
• Must have an Arizona driver’s license and be able to pass a background and drug test.
