PromiseLink is MAP’s centralized digital hub for mentors. It provides access to training materials, scheduling tools, communication channels, and program updates — ensuring every mentor is supported, connected, and equipped to guide youth effectively.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Volunteer Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and rollout of PromiseLink. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for leveraging technology to support volunteers. The Project Manager will ensure PromiseLink functions as a reliable, user-friendly hub for mentor scheduling, communication, and resources — strengthening MAP’s mentoring network.

The Project Manager will ensure PromiseLink functions as a reliable, user-friendly hub for mentor scheduling, communication, and resources — strengthening MAP’s mentoring network.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of the PromiseLink project, from planning to launch and ongoing optimization
- Build and maintain project plans, schedules, and deliverables
- Coordinate with tech, design, HR, and program teams to ensure integration of scheduling, communication, and training features
- Gather mentor feedback to guide development and ensure usability
- Track progress, identify risks, and resolve challenges proactively
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to MAP leadership
- Ensure PromiseLink aligns with MAP’s mission, accessibility standards, and data privacy policies
- Experience in project management (professional or volunteer), ideally in technology, platforms, or nonprofit initiatives
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with collaboration and scheduling platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Calendly, or similar tools)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to balance technical requirements with mentor needs and usability
- Commitment to MAP’s mission of mentorship, equity, and impact
- Background in systems design, digital product management, or intranet tools
- Experience coordinating distributed or volunteer-based teams
- Understanding of nonprofit volunteer management practices
- Volunteer role, approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling
- Hands-on experience leading the development of a mentor-focused platform
- Opportunities to strengthen leadership in digital project management
- Collaboration with a dedicated, mission-driven team
- A portfolio project that demonstrates impact in volunteer engagement and nonprofit tech
