Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead MAP’s public engagement strategy to expand awareness and visibility
- Build and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders, schools, nonprofit partners, and civic leaders
- Develop creative campaigns and events that engage the public and showcase MAP’s impact
- Collaborate with communications and policy teams to ensure consistent messaging and storytelling
- Represent MAP at public events, forums, and partnerships to advocate for youth experiencing housing instability
- Create opportunities for mentors, volunteers, and students to share their voices in public spaces
- Background in community engagement, public relations, or communications (nonprofit or education sector preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect authentically across diverse communities
- Strategic thinker with a track record of building partnerships and coalitions
- Passion for youth development, equity, and social impact
- Ability to work collaboratively in a volunteer-driven, mission-centered environment
- Volunteer role, approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule with occasional evening/weekend commitments for community events
