Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly smile and positive attitude, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to ensure a smooth flow of guest traffic
- Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating times and special requests
- Answer guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
- Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining excellent phone etiquette and guest services standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a welcoming personality are essential
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests, team members, and management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest relations
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain energetic during busy service hours for extended periods
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest services best practices is advantageous
