Job Summary
As a Youth Group Leader at Mentify Inc., you will be the heart of our daily programming, guiding kids (ages through engaging rotations, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting mental health awareness. You'll facilitate activities, monitor behavioral changes, and ensure that each child feels seen and heard. If you love working in a high-energy environment, enjoy making a difference, and can handle a little noise, this is the role for you At this time, the role is volunteer-based but will transition into a paid position as the organization grows. We are seeking a long-term commitment from someone who shares our passion for service and community impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate daily rotations of activities designed to engage and support youth.
- Create a fun, inclusive, and energetic atmosphere where kids feel safe to express themselves.
- Monitor and be attentive to behavioral changes, ensuring kids receive the support they need.
- Distribute, collect, and review "Feelings Forms" during each visit (or weekly) to be shared with therapists.
- Actively interact with and engage youth, encouraging participation and open communication.
- Maintain a positive and structured environment while embracing the loud and lively nature of the space.
- Work closely with therapists and staff to ensure each child's needs are met.
- Be open to contributing as a volunteer if needed.
- Advocate for mental health awareness and promote positive well-being.
Qualifications & Skills
- Passion for working with youth and mental health advocacy.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, noisy environment with enthusiasm and patience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify and address behavioral changes with care and professionalism.
- Experience working with youth (ages in a structured setting (preferred).
- A fun, engaging, and approachable personality
