The individual who is hired as the public relations (PR) specialist for Mental Health Pros would promote a positive image for the organization by developing communication strategies, managing media relations, and developing community partnerships with a specific focus on the unique challenges and sensitivities of the mental health field.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Develop and implement PR strategies to promote the organization's goals, values, and programs, such as mental health and substance abuse.
*Foster relationships with community, consumer, and public interest groups, and coordinate events to enhance public awareness and goodwill.
*Work closely with social media platforms to ensure a consistent brand message across all areas in community mental health and substance abuse.
*Network with local courts, psychiatric hospitals and schools in order to facilitate access to the organizations services
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like public relations, communications, journalism, or business.
Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues
Experience collaborating with the courts and other community partners
