Role: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse, providing specialized care for critically ill and premature newborns.
Responsibilities: Assessing and monitoring neonates, administering medications, operating NICU equipment, assisting with procedures, educating families, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum one year recent NICU experience, valid RN license, current BLS and NRP certifications. Preferred certifications include RNC-NIC and PALS. Must possess critical thinking, interpersonal, technical, physical, and sensory skills to perform assessments, operate equipment, and work effectively under pressure.
Key Duties: Conduct neonatal assessments, manage life-support tools, assist with procedures, support families, develop care plans, and ensure infection control. Must demonstrate excellent communication, clinical proficiency, and physical capability to handle equipment and patient needs.
