Charge Nurse - Full-Time

The Charge Nurse oversees safe, patient-centered care, assessing, coordinating, and evaluating service delivery. They mentor staff, ensure adequate resources, and act as a physician liaison.

Responsibilities include

• adhering to organizational policies and professional standards
• performing comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized care plans
• managing pain and patient education
• delegating tasks appropriately and supervising staff performance
• ensuring infection control and participating in quality improvement
• facilitating communication during handoffs and multidisciplinary rounds
• addressing psychosocial needs and fostering collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• supporting professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices
  
  

Qualifications include

• current unrestricted RN licensure (Wyoming or compact)
• nursing degree (BSN preferred)
• BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and behavioral de-escalation training required within one year
• minimum one year of relevant experience preferred
  
  

Skills required are effective communication, organizational abilities, basic computer knowledge, and flexibility in high-stress situations. The role involves exposure to infectious materials and adherence to safety protocols. Pre-employment drug screening is required.
