- Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department to ensure high-quality care and department growth.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor care delivery, address concerns, and implement solutions.
- Enforce policies, guide, support, and coach RNs to promote teamwork and excellence in resident care.
- Manage administrative tasks to improve departmental efficiency and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs and document care accurately to meet standards.
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols at all times.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with leadership team members.
- Valid RN license in good standing within Iowa or ability to activate it.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a quality clinical team.
- Commitment to treating others with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
