Mental Health and Recovery for Licking and Knox Counties (MHR), the local board responsible for planning, funding, and monitoring behavioral health services, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Executive Administrative Assistant to provide executive-level support to the Executive Director and assist with the organization and operations of the MHR Board and targeted organizational projects.
This full-time position requires an individual who is professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and producing high-quality work. As a member of a small office, the successful candidate must be a collaborative team player who is willing to learn, demonstrates initiative, and enjoys contributing to a mission-driven organization.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Management, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible executive administrative or office management experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including exceptional proofreading and business writing abilities.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, AI tools, and other office productivity applications to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Strong project coordination and critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems independently.
- Knowledge of county government, public boards, or behavioral health systems is desirable.
- Notary Public commission, or the ability to obtain one within four (4) months of hire.
- Valid Ohio driver's license required.
- Ability to attend monthly evening Board meetings as requested.
