Program Manager

35 hours per week / $71,890.00-$76,440.00

(The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.)

Supervision Responsibilities: Under the guidance and directive of the Director of Transition Age Youth Services, the TAY Program Manager will provide general oversight or work leader responsibilities for lower-level staff during program or service activities. Assists in providing direct supervision to assigned team members based on the psychosocial rehabilitation model of treatment and services.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In collaboration with the Director of Transitional Age Youth Services, recruit, hire, supervise, train, direct, evaluate, reward, discipline and terminate assigned staff in accordance with organizational policy and applicable laws and regulations
  • Supports staff in all activities that link members and other clients to meet member/client goals and needs
  • Assist and support program documentation standards of staff in accordance with MHALA and FSP
  • Oversee subcontracts, productivity and Quality Assurance
  • Participate in team, administrative, community and funding meetings. Lead or delegate leadership of the day-to-day operations of the team as needed
  • Participates as a lead in team, staff and community meetings. Provides leadership of the day-to-day operations of the department as needed.
  • Assists in overseeing and managing team budget and expenditures, making adequate and timely adjustments as needed
  • Participates as an active member of management staff, quality improvement, safety committee, domains or other leadership teams as needed or assigned.
  • Participate in the agency’s community life as appropriate.
  • Provides timely information and feedback to the Transition Age Youth Team in regard to team, program or member issues.
  • Provides emergency coverage as needed
  • Maintain the skills necessary to mentor and support the Transition Age Youth Team in accordance with the expectations outlined in the Full Service Partnership Guidelines, Child and Youth Well Being Services, Supported Education Program, and other TAY Program (i.e. grants) Guidelines. Completes all documentation (some specifics: Intakes, discharges, LOCUS/CANS, NET Tool, IPS, Monthly Reports, Barrier List) and maintains all necessary paperwork documentation as required for program compliance and accountability in accordance with MHALA standards and funding source requirements
  • In collaboration with the Director of Transition Age Youth Services, maintains all records and documentation (progress notes) needed for program compliance and accountability in accordance with MHALA standards and funding source requirements

Other Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services with a minimum of 4 years of experience providing psychosocial related services to a disabled population preferred
  • Must function well in a team-oriented approach to member services.
  • Must be organized and efficient in carrying out day-to-day duties.
  • Must take initiative and be proactive in approach to getting the job done with little or no direction.
  • Must be able to work with various personalities and handle aspects relating to team members with dignity and tactfulness.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and EHR required.
  • Driving with current class C driver’s license, proof of valid automobile insurance, and the ability to be insured by MHALA Liability Insurance are conditions of employment.
  • Flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • TB clearance and annual re-testing are conditions of employment.
  • If a licensed psychotherapist or nurse (i.e. LMFT/AMFT/LCSW/ACSW/LPCC/APCC or RN/LVN), must obtain LPS designation within 6 months of employment and maintain active license status. Provide LPS evaluations and secondary on-call services as needed.
  • MHALA is no longer requiring COVID-19 vaccinations or booster shots, however this may become a requirement in the future.
  • Employment verification directly from three (3) past employers within the most recent 7-year period
