What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Helper position at Menorah Park?
BROAD FUNCTION:
Assist with general maintenance duties to include routine installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, etc., to maintain the facility grounds and equipment, and building elements.
Hours: Full Time. 37.5 hours a week. Monday-Friday 9a-5p and every other weekend.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to repetitively lift 25 — 50 lbs., push / pull up to 250 lbs., repetitively reaches above head, climb etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or GED

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist maintenance mechanics with daily operations in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as the facility's established policies and procedures on a multitude of plumbing, electric Steam, air handling, refrigeration, and building.
- Daily air and water temperatures in accordance with Department of Health regulations.
- Removes trash from parking lot and outdoor garbage receptacles.
- Removes recycling and shredding documents in accordance with facility procedure.
- Assists with minor or large paint projects as directed.
- Assists mechanics with plumping, HVAC, and electrical repairs as directed.
- Assure that work areas and corridors etc. are clean and free of hazardous conditions and that tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of work day, etc.
- Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, breakdowns, incidents/accidents, etc., to your supervisor immediately.
- All other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
