Our Nuclear Medicine Technologists perform tests for diagnosis and medical research. They prepare and give small doses of radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients, then use high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the body. What you will do in this role:
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist completes nuclear medicine procedures including routine procedures and nuclear medicine therapies.
- The Nuclear Medicine Technologists participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities.
- The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works within the guidelines established in the policies and procedure manual and complies with all safety and infection control guidelines.
- The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in accordance with JCAHO, State or other regulatory or accreditation agencies in the performance of their duties.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits every two years.
- Must be registered with the ARRT or NMTCB or eligible for registry. Must hold a current license with the Kansas board of healing arts.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Certification required upon hire.
- Two years experience preferred.
