Job Summary And Qualifications

The Endoscopy Technician are part of the medical team that uses endoscopes to diagnose or treat gastrointestinal problems. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the GI Tech assists before, during and after procedures by performing direct and indirect patient care that complies with hospital policies and the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will assist with preparing the procedure rooms with working knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique.
• You will assist with the room cleanup and sterilization after the procedure.
• You will assist the team during the Endoscopy procedures including but not limited to sample collection, dilation and polypectomy.
• You will maintain inventory for instruments used.
• You will function in the role of Patient Care Tech, Unit Clerk (HUC) or Transporter and stock supplies as needed.
• You may assist with the patient intake process.
  
  

Qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
• Prior experience as a nursing assistant or surgical tech preferred.
