What are the responsibilities and job description for the School District Paraeducators, Clerical and Supervisory Aides position at Menomonie Area School District?

Wages and hours depend on the individual position, although most are Monday through Friday on days that school is in session. Start date for most positions will be approximately August 19, 2026.
Special Education Paraeducators at High School, Middle School and Elementary levels
- Full-time (7.25 hrs./day) and part-time positions available
- Starting wage is $19.66 per hour
- Positions based on student needs
- Some responsibilities to include personal cares, lifting, etc.
- Working with students in the SOAR program and/or those with behavioral, intellectual or learning disabilities
Hmong or Spanish-speaking Paraeducator at High School and Middle School levels
- Full-time (7.25 hrs./day) and part-time positions available
- Starting wage is $19.66 per hour
- Positions based on student needs
- Supporting students in and out of the classroom to translate and modify assignments in English and native languages
Intervention Paraeducator at Oaklawn Elementary
- Full-time (7.25 hrs./day)
- Starting wage is $19.66 per hour
- Provide reading and math interventions to students
- Education beyond high school is preferred
In-School Suspension/Commons Clerical at High School
- 7.5 hrs./day
- Starting wage is $20.25 per hour
- Supervising students on a rotating basis in the commons and in-school suspension
Supervisory Aide at Wakanda Elementary
- 2.5 hrs./day
- Starting wage is $18.95 per hour
- Supervise students in the lunchroom and/or outside during the lunch hours
The successful applicants will have the ability to utilize excellent communication skills with students, staff and administration, maintain absolute confidentiality, possess interpersonal skills, follow through on oral and written instructions, exercise prudent judgment, and supervise students in various settings. Applicants should also be independent thinkers and open to change; hold students accountable and have a full understanding of the importance of flawless communication.
Candidates for Special Ed Para positions must hold or be willing and able to obtain DPI license #0883 (Special Education Program Aide) and be able to meet ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) requirements. The positions will remain open until filled with ongoing review of applications. EOE.
Pay: $18.95 - $20.25 per hour
