ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shall be responsible for the scheduling of the Casino Shift Managers.
- Shall maintain all attendance records and personnel files, audit time sheets for Administrative Staff to include all facilities, and departments.
- Shall develop, implement, and maintain a filing system for Administration.
- Shall code, process billings for Administration, process check requests, purchase orders.
- Shall operate all office equipment, i.e., Computer, Fax, Copier, Telephone, and Calculator.
- Shall be proficient with computer programs, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Shall answer telephone, take and deliver messages.
- Shall be responsible for all travel arrangements for General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and MIGA Board of Directors.
- Shall assist in drafting reports on an as needed basis.
- Shall draft the Administration and MIGA Board of Directors budget on an as needed basis.
- Shall be responsible for maintaining department line item to ensure budget compliance according to the monthly profit and loss statement.
- Shall be responsible for ordering all supplies for department.
- Shall receive and distribute mail to appropriate departments/facilities.
- Shall stamp, sort, and deliver to the post office of all outgoing/incoming mail as needed.
- Shall be responsible for all administrative functions when General Manager and Assistant General Manager are absent.
- Shall greet both in person and by telephone individuals wishing to meet with management in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Shall be responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for Administration with internal/external parties.
- Shall be responsible to maintain absolute confidentiality of all written and oral communication regarding the Menominee Casino Resort operations and its personnel.
- Shall be responsible for coordinating, posting, and transcribing MIGA Board of Directors and its Sub Committee meetings.
- Shall be responsible for the updating the guest barred listing.
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have a high school diploma or its equivalency and one year of college or vocational school. Three years of administrative/clerical work experience is also preferred. The ideal candidate shall have displayed/demonstrated a good work record. The candidate shall possess knowledge of the English grammar, punctuation and spelling. Knowledge of the following machines is required: copier, personal computer, calculator, recorder/transcriber. Must be able to withstand a background check. Must be twenty-one years of age or older. Must not have been convicted of shoplifting or stealing with the past five years. Preference given to qualified Menominee or other Native American Applicants. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and eligible to be placed on the MIGA/Menominee Tribe approved drivers list.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
No person shall be eligible for employment at Menominee Casino Resort/Thunderbird complex if they have been convicted, or have a pending unresolved charge of:
- Any crime which would require compliance with the reporting requirements for sex offenders pursuant to Menominee or Wisconsin law; or
- A felony conviction of any kind in the immediately preceding two years
- A crime of any kind related to gambling in the immediately preceding two years
- A crime of any kind related to theft, fraud, or misrepresentation in the immediately preceding two years;
- A crime of any kind related to a crime of violence, or involving domestic violence, or a drug offense involving sale of drugs, or possession with intent to sell drugs during the immediately preceding two years.
- “In addition to the minimum criminal background requirements listed above, employee must meet the minimum criminal background requirements necessary to obtain a gaming license as stated in Menominee Tribal Code Chapter 347 and the Tribal Gaming Compact.”
- Hiring in a gaming position is contingent upon a criminal background check.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, maintenance manuals, and policies and procedures. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Internal and External Guests, , regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
