Key Responsibilities
The Receptionist is often the first point of contact and helps to establish the perception others have about Mennonite Village. They greet, assist, and check in visitors, residents, vendors, and others. The reception desk is responsible to answering the main phone line respectfully and transferring calls to the appropriate person.
What we are looking for in an ideal candidate:
- Effectively engage and communicate with elderly individuals.
- Demonstrate proficiency in following oral and written instructions
- Possess strong language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Exhibit patience, tact, and willingness to handle challenging situations.
- Showcase excellent computer skills with experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
- Foster positivity and actively engage in daily problem-solving.
- Display excellent organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work independently at times
- Capable of always maintaining confidentiality of information.
