Duties And Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks for multiple related business entities.
- Process and manage Accounts Payable, including vendor onboarding, invoice entry, payment scheduling, and expense categorization.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, payment application, and customer account reconciliation.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Assist in preparing and completing the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready accounting records.
- Support internal financial controls and accounting best practices across multiple entities.
- Payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee expense reporting.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a payroll and accounting perspective.
- Manage accounting activities across several companies with common ownership.
- Track intercompany transactions and assist with intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate allocation of shared expenses between entities.
- Work closely with the Director of Finance to learn the full accounting and financial management structure of the organization.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis.
- Identify process improvements within accounting workflows and reporting systems.
- Develop the skills and knowledge required to potentially transition into the Controller role within 2–3 years.

- 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Experience working for a small to mid-sized company.
- 5 years of QuickBooks experience.
- Experience in solving multiple and complex challenges through critical thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
