What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Attendant position at Menla Retreat Resort Spa?
The Housekeeping position facilitates the smooth transition between retreats. Our housekeepers should be friendly dependable people who can work well with others. We are a one-of-a-kind business, and we all work hard and go out of our way to ensure that at the end of the day the retreat participants' experience here is uniquely transformational and healing. Hands-on cleaning includes: making the beds, vacuuming the floors, cleaning the bathrooms, emptying the trash and dusting as needed. In the off season we focus on a number of deep cleaning project such as window washing, moving furniture, taking inventory, etc.
Previous experience preferred. An eye for detail & reliable means of transportation a must. Residential housing available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all areas to the standard cleanliness within time limits
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Create daily job lists and record all serviced rooms
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Report on any shortages, damages or security issues
- Check stocking levels of all consumables
- Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies
Skills
- Proven working experience in relevant field
- Ability to work independently and remain motivated
- Helpful with customer service orientation
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail
- Knowledge of English language
Compensation: Starting from $17/hr, paid vacation and sick time, Matching 401K, share of guest tips, free shift meal, also very affordable on-site housing for the right candidate.
