Job Summary:
We are looking for a Full-Time Whole House Generator Maintenance Technician to focus on the annual maintenance and repair of generator systems. As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the continued reliability and optimal performance of whole house generators for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Annual Maintenance:
- Conduct annual inspections of whole house generators to assess their condition.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, spark plug replacements, and system checks.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and local codes during maintenance procedures.
- Repairs:
- Diagnose and address any issues identified during maintenance inspections.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, alternators, and control systems.
- Execute necessary repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Complete detailed service reports for each client's generator system.
- Client Communication:
- Communicate maintenance findings and repair recommendations to clients.
- Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and expertise.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in performing annual maintenance tasks on whole house generators.
- Strong understanding of generator components.
- Kohler Generator Certifications
- Generac Generator Certifications
- Diesel Generator Certifications
- Experience:
- Previous experience in generator maintenance and repairs.
- Familiarity with various generator brands and models.
- Certifications:
- Possession of relevant certifications such as generator maintenance certification is a must.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues during maintenance inspections.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Customer Service:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused approach when explaining maintenance findings and recommendations.
