Dental Hygienist
We are looking for a dependable, professional Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care to our patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, good communication, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a dental team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine adult and pediatric dental cleanings
- Perform periodontal maintenance
- Perform scaling and root planing (SRP)
- Take diagnostic dental X-rays
- Administer local anesthetic injections
- Complete periodontal charting and assessments
- Review medical and dental histories
- Identify and communicate areas of concern to the dentist
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and home care
- Apply fluoride and other preventive treatments as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Properly clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and treatment areas
- Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office safety procedures
- Assist with maintaining an efficient patient schedule and workflow
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, doctors, and team members
Requirements
- Current Dental Hygienist license
- Current certification/authorization to administer local anesthesia as required by state law
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to take diagnostic-quality dental radiographs
- Comfortable treating periodontal patients and performing SRP
- Reliable, professional, and able to work well with the dental team
