Job Summary:
Meneses Law is an Immigration Law Firm has an immediate opening for an experienced, driven HR Assistant Manager to join our dynamic law firm. As the HR Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our HR department with various functions related to onboarding, HR audits, compliance, and disciplinary actions. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish, as well as a strong understanding of HR practices and legal regulations.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, I9, etc.
• Backup to Corporate Trainer regarding conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Assist in conducting HR audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company-wide compliance. Advise management and employees on HR related compliance issues.
• Support HR Manager in managing disciplinary actions and grievances, ensuring fairness and consistency in accordance with company policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution.
• Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and HR databases.
• Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision making processes.
• Educating employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
• Generating official internal correspondence such as verification of employment. Assist in preparations by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.).
• Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality with organizational information.
• Promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse staff members.
• Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary to the daily operations of the employer.
Required Skills:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant data tools.
• Excellent time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field
• 4 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on compliance and employee relations
• 3 years in a proven leadership role
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative. Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability of reading comprehension, writing, speaking to others to convey information effectively, active listening and interpreting instructional documents. English/ Spanish bilingual oral communication is a must.
• Must be able to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective. Identify relevant concerns or factors, patterns, tendencies, and relationships. Formulate logical and objective conclusions and recognize alternative and their implications.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Excellent organizational and time-management.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands:
• This position involves regular walking, standing sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
• Occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching
• May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
• Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
• The ability to move and lift items up to10 pounds.
