The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, demonstrating proficiency in various financial software and accounting principles. This role involves preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Analyze financial data to identify potential deductions and credits, maximizing client benefits.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to manage client records effectively.
• Provide guidance on tax-related inquiries, offering insights into financial concepts and strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as needed, ensuring accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance service offerings through effective marketing strategies.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills by building relationships with clients and addressing their concerns promptly.

Skills

• Proficiency in financial sales, accounting principles, and public accounting practices.
• Experience with tax preparation and knowledge of current tax laws.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and financial software applications.
• Familiarity with Lacerte tax software.
• Excellent math skills for accurate calculations and data analysis.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge along with bookkeeping experience.
• Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
• Effective communication skills to convey financial concepts clearly to clients.
