Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects.
- Erect metal building frameworks, including metal stud framing, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with specifications.
- Construct concrete forms for foundations, walls, and other structural elements, coordinating with concrete finishing teams.
- Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to strengthen structures according to engineering standards.
- Perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment as needed to move materials safely around the site.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for framing, trimming, siding installation, roofing, and other carpentry tasks.
- Execute masonry work such as stucco application, plastering, and siding installation to enhance building exteriors.
- Read schematics accurately to guide the installation of windows, doors, trim carpentry, and other finishing elements.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct restoration work or remodeling projects as required to update or repair existing structures.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential framing with a strong background in frame carpentry and metal building erection.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction management principles on residential sites.
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry work (including stucco), roofing, siding, and drywall finishing.
- Proficiency in welding, woodworking, plastering, and trim carpentry techniques.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on residential projects; familiarity with restoration or remodeling is a plus.
